Upon entering the pool area, swimmers will have their temperature taken. If normal, then parents will be asked to leave and swimmers will be instructed to follow the markings on the pool deck to the designated spot to leave their belongings. Masks must be worn until it is time to enter the water. Swimmers will also be asked to thoroughly rinse under the on deck shower
While the changing rooms are closed, there are two single use toilets in the family changing area. The main door will be propped open to reduce high touch areas. Masks must be worn to and from the bathrooms. The Technique Swim Academy and CRA staff members will sanitize the facilities between uses
For the Technique Swim Clinic and Boot Camp, we will take a snack/rest break. Swimmers will be in small groups and rotated out of the pool. If the weather is nice, we will head outside for 15 minutes during this time
The Technique Swim Academy is working closely with the Boston Sports Institute and Charles River Aquatics to ensure that all protocols set forth by the CDC, Massachusetts Department of Early Childhood Education and the Wellesley Board of Health are enforced,
The CDC has stated “there is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through the water in pools...” Chlorine inactivates the SARS-CoV-2 virus in water and the BSI Pools have an additional layer of protection—UV Filtration Systems—that kill the virus. However, there is an inherent risk of exposure to Covid-19 when in public despite our best efforts to mitigate the spread so please read the expectations below carefully to determine your comfort factor before signing up for our program.
The facility Swimming Safely guidelines below will be strictly enforced for the safety of all swimmers and staff:
Please review the diagram so we can all do our part to keep our distance and stay safe.
